Osun State Invites Global Investors to Tap into the Tourism and Mining Boom

Osun State is extending a red carpet invitation to foreign investors seeking lucrative opportunities in its thriving tourism and mining sectors. The state government, through its Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Mr. Bunmi Jenyo, made this appeal at the prestigious National Black Business Conference held in Atlanta, USA.

According to a statement released by the Commissioner’s media assistant, Sesan Adeleke, Jenyo emphasized the significant potential for international investors to contribute to the development of various sectors within Osun State, including agriculture, mining, technology, education, manufacturing, tourism, and health.

Beyond the financial rewards, the Commissioner highlighted the positive ripple effects these investments would have on Nigeria’s overall economy, driving technological advancements and fostering prosperity.

“Africa has a unique opportunity to leverage its diaspora as a powerful force for enterprise across the continent and the world,” Jenyo stated. “By capitalizing on the expertise of our diaspora in sectors such as agriculture, technology, health, education, tourism, mining, manufacturing, and renewable energy, we can achieve greater success.”

The Commissioner further emphasised the alignment of these sectors with global trends toward sustainability and technological innovation. “Diaspora investors can play a pivotal role in Africa and Nigeria’s economic transformation by investing in these sectors,” he added.

Nigeria, as the largest black nation in Africa, continues to position itself as a hub for economic growth and innovation. The government is actively seeking the interest of its diaspora members to contribute to the development of the African continent.
