Imo State’s Economic Adviser, Prof. Kenneth Amaeshi, Joins the European Digital SME Alliance Scientific Committee

Professor Kenneth Amaeshi, Chief Economic Adviser to the Imo State Government and a distinguished academic, has been appointed to the Scientific Committee of the European Digital SME Alliance. This prestigious appointment underscores the global recognition of Nigerian expertise in the digital economy and sustainable finance sectors.

The European Digital SME Alliance, Europe’s largest network of information and communication technology (ICT) small and medium enterprises, represents over 45,000 companies across the continent. With 30 national and regional SME associations from EU member states and neighbouring countries, the Alliance aims to position digital SMEs at the forefront of the EU’s economic agenda.

Prof. Amaeshi, who holds dual professorships in sustainable finance at the European University Institute in Italy and sustainable business at the University of Edinburgh in the UK, brings a wealth of knowledge to the committee. His expertise in sustainability is expected to significantly contribute to the Alliance’s sustainable digitalization initiatives.
